AN outdoor mural capturing the beauty of Mahoe Reserve has been completed at Lincoln High School.
The new mural located at school’s tuck shop was painted by the school’s sustainability council over the school
Over the past school holidays students spent hours painting the new mural designed by artist and Springston resident Mike Glover.
The students chose to embark on the project as a way of raising awareness of the school’s sustainability council and to demonstrate what the Lincoln environment has to offer.
This ranges from native plants in the Mahoe reserve to the township’s church and Lincoln being the first Envirotown in New Zealand.
The project was supported by the Lincoln Farmers’ and Craft Market.
Year 13 student Amy Burney said it taught students the importance of working together with the community to promote awareness of the environment.
