Spring show brings out record numbers

About 20,000 people turned out to soak up the atmosphere at the Ellesmere A & P Spring Show in Leeston on Saturday.

This theme was celebrating diversity in the community.

Show president Doug Michael said there was a record number of gate entries and everyone was happy and complimentary about the day.

“It was perfect conditions. Wasn’t any wind and wasn’t too hot and it was perfect weather for stock . . . everyone had a great time,” he said.
