Waitakiri School’s delicious fundraiser

Parents and children at Waitakiri School raised more than $600 for abused and neglected animals.

The annual SPCA cupcake day took place on August 14.

An enormous $2 million has been raised since the day first came about in 2009.

People are encouraged to fundraise by baking and selling cupcakes in their schools and workplaces.

Pupils from Waitakiri School got involved this year by selling and buying baked goods during morning tea and lunchtime.

Along with a bed and food collection, $607 was collected and donated to the SPCA.
