Lincoln mothers are grateful for hand-knitted baby items made and donated by two 12-year-old pupils from Springston School.
Lucy and Jess have dedicated their time to knitting colourful hats and matching booties for babies at Lincoln Maternity Hospital.
The matching knitwear sets were presented to the hospital recently.
The hospital’s ward clerk Marlene Bolsover said the two lovely pupils are a credit to their family, community and age group.
“The knitting is of a very high standard,” she said.
Charge nurse manager Bronwyn Torrance said it is inspiring that young girls would do this for women and their babies in the community.
