Reward for information in dairy ram-raid

Police are offering a reward for any information regarding the burglary of a dairy.

Cigarettes and money were the target on Saturday May 20 as two cars approached the Johns Rd dairy in Rangiora.

The front of the store was smashed in by one of the vehicles, which drove out again.

Offenders entered the store and left with two tills and tobacco.

The offenders left in the same car – the other was left at the scene.

Police investigators have been following various lines of inquiry but are now offering a reward for any information, Detective Richard Malin said.

“We are committed to holding these two men accountable and are asking that the public have a look at the CCTV images and let us know if they recognise the males in them,” he said.

The reward is offered as part of the police ‘There’s nothing good about stolen goods’ campaign that leads to successful prosecution of offenders committing aggravated robberies.

Any information that could assist police with their inquiries can be provided to Detective Richard Malin on 363 7444.

Alternatively, information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
